What You Will Do
1. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students in grades 6-10, aligning with the curriculum and ensuring effective learning outcomes.
2. Create and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and identify areas for improvement.
3. Develop and implement remedial plans to support students who are struggling with English language skills.
4. Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver integrated curriculum units that incorporate English language arts and literature.
5. Provide guidance and support to students on their English language development, including grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
6. Engage with parents and caregivers to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in their child's learning.
7. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices in English language instruction.
8. Contribute to the development of curriculum materials, including textbooks, workbooks, and online resources.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is required for this position. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
