Job Overview
As a leadership role in the Biology department at Srdm Inter College, the successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring junior faculty members, guiding curriculum design, and overseeing exam coordination. Day-to-Day Duties
1. Design and develop curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Biology.
2. Mentor and guide junior faculty members in their teaching and research endeavors.
3. Coordinate and organize semester and annual exams, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptions.
4. Conduct research in the field of Biology and publish papers in UGC-CARE journals.
5. Guide Ph.D. students and provide guidance on their research projects.
6. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
7. Foster industry-academia partnerships to provide students with practical training and internship opportunities.
8. Collaborate with other departments to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
9. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Biology with a minimum of 55% marks. A Ph.D. in Biology is preferred, and candidates with 8+ years of experience at the Associate Professor or Professor level are encouraged to apply.
Research & Publications
As a TGT, you will have the opportunity to engage in research and publish papers in UGC-CARE journals. You will be responsible for guiding Ph.D. students and providing guidance on their research projects. Your research focus can be in any area of Biology, and you will be expected to contribute to the research environment of the college.
