Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging History lessons to students at the secondary and senior secondary levels.
- Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student learning and progress.
- Provide guidance and support to students in understanding and applying History concepts.
- Develop and implement curriculum changes to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate History with other subjects in the school curriculum.
- Develop and maintain a History resource room and library to support teaching and learning.
- Participate in school events and activities to promote History awareness and appreciation.
- Coach students for History board exams to ensure high achievement results.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior colleagues to improve their teaching skills.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, you should have a postgraduate degree in History and a B.Ed/D.El.Ed degree from a recognized university. A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. Possession of a TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
