PGT Physical Education Teacher – Delhi Public School, Sadar, Gautam Buddha Nagar
Responsibilities
The role involves preparing detailed lesson plans that cater to varied student abilities and align with school objectives. Design and implement assessment tools to evaluate motor skills, fitness levels and overall progress. Track each learner’s development through regular reports and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Coordinate co‑curricular sports events and maintain equipment safety standards. Collaborate with senior staff to ensure the physical education programme supports overall student wellness.
Key Duties
- Create weekly and monthly lesson plans focusing on skill development, health education and game strategies.
- Align instructional activities with the school’s academic framework and holistic development goals.
- Develop formative and summative assessments, including fitness tests and practical demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance and improvement trends.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on physical development and recommend remedial actions when needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school sports festivals.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate qualification in Physical Education (B.Ed/D.El.Ed) is mandatory. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience in a school setting. TET or CTET qualification is preferred. Strong knowledge of modern teaching methodologies, safety protocols and student engagement techniques is essential.
Experience
At least 3 years of full‑time teaching experience in Physical Education at the secondary level, preferably within a recognized school like Delhi Public School.
Salary
Rs.50,000 - Rs.70,000 per month
