Collaborate with the subject coordinator to ensure seamless integration of sociology with other school subjects like history and geography. Participate in school-wide events, including cultural fests and awareness campaigns, to promote sociological awareness among students and parents. Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum updates.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare term-end projects and assignments that require students to analyze real-world social issues, such as caste, gender, or migration, using sociological frameworks. Organize field trips or guest lectures by experts to provide hands-on exposure to social sciences. Review and update teaching resources periodically to incorporate new research findings and pedagogical best practices.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology with a minimum of two years of teaching experience. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this position. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred for better classroom engagement. Familiarity with CBSE or state board syllabi for sociology is advantageous.
Salary and Location
