Role Overview
Pragyan School is hiring a Primary Teacher (PRT) for Mathematics to join its vibrant faculty. The role involves delivering the primary mathematics curriculum to classes I‑V, fostering a love for numbers and logical thinking among young learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct interactive mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s syllabus and CBSE guidelines.
- Use age‑appropriate teaching aids, games, and activities to make concepts clear and enjoyable.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments and oral questioning, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate degree in any discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed is essential for teaching at the primary level.
- Minimum three years of experience teaching Mathematics to primary students.
- TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong command of basic mathematics and the ability to simplify concepts for young minds.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Patience, creativity and a genuine interest in child development.
- Ability to collaborate with senior teachers and support staff.
Employment Details
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- Salary range: Rs.18,000 – Rs.30,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
