Classroom Profile
You will be working with students in grades 6-10, teaching Social Science to classes of 30-35 students. The classroom environment is inclusive, and you will be expected to create an engaging learning space that encourages participation and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to integrate Social Science with other subjects
- Engage parents and guardians through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings
- Develop and maintain records of student progress and achievement
- Participate in school-based professional development programs to enhance teaching skills
- Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to Social Science education
- Participate in extracurricular activities that promote social awareness and community engagement
Required Qualifications
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized university
- Post-graduate degree in Social Science or related field
- TET or CTET certification is preferred, but not mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Social Science
