PGT Sociology Teacher Position at Ralli International School in Ghaziabad
Ralli International School in Ghaziabad seeks a dedicated PGT Sociology Teacher to lead the subject across Class 11 and 12. This role involves shaping students’ understanding of social structures, cultural diversity, and contemporary societal issues with a focus on academic excellence and holistic development.
Plan and deliver engaging classroom lessons covering core sociology topics like socialization, stratification, and urbanization. Develop and implement syllabus-aligned teaching strategies to ensure conceptual clarity and critical thinking among students. Assess student progress through continuous evaluation, including assignments, projects, and periodic tests, while maintaining transparency in grading.
Collaborate with the department head and cross-subject teachers to align sociology content with broader academic goals. Participate in curriculum planning meetings and suggest improvements based on student feedback and evolving educational trends. Foster a respectful classroom environment where diverse perspectives are valued, encouraging open discussions on sensitive social issues.
Ensure compliance with school policies on discipline, attendance, and extracurricular participation. Represent the department at parent-teacher interactions, school events, and academic conferences to promote sociology as a relevant and dynamic subject. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, research papers, and multimedia tools, to support dynamic lesson delivery.
Hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology with a strong academic background. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to qualify for the role. Two years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level is essential. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, experience in conducting exams or assessments would be beneficial.
