Teach a variety of physical activities, including athletics, swimming, and team sports, ensuring age-appropriate and safe practices. Design and implement curriculum-based lessons that align with national education standards while fostering teamwork and discipline. Organize school events like inter-house competitions, sports days, and extracurricular programs to promote holistic development. Monitor student participation, attendance, and progress in physical education, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical activity into daily school routines and co-curricular activities. Ensure compliance with safety protocols in sports facilities and maintain equipment in good condition.
Qualification
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Physical Education or a related field. Experience in teaching Physical Education at the secondary level is highly valued. A TET/CTET certificate will be an added advantage but is not mandatory for this role.
Experience
A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in Physical Education at the school level is essential. Familiarity with modern sports science principles and adaptive physical education methods is beneficial. Experience in managing diverse student groups and promoting inclusivity in sports is preferred.
