About This Role
St. Joseph School is looking for a dynamic Music Teacher to lead its music department. This is a full-time position in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, focused on administrative leadership and program management. The role involves overseeing music activities, coordinating events, and ensuring a vibrant cultural environment within the school.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, organize, and execute all music-related events and competitions at St. Joseph School.
2. Manage the school band, choir, and instrumental groups with regular practice schedules.
3. Coordinate with the school administration to integrate music into school events and festivals.
4. Prepare budgets for music department activities and maintain records of expenses and resources.
5. Supervise the maintenance and procurement of musical instruments and equipment.
6. Lead monthly assemblies with musical performances to showcase student talent.
7. Collaborate with class teachers to identify musically inclined students for special training.
8. Ensure compliance with safety norms during music rehearsals and performances.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate in Music from a recognized university is mandatory. Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or similar institution is required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is preferred. Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication is essential.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of Indian and Western classical music is necessary. Experience in event management and team coordination is an advantage. Familiarity with local music traditions in Uttar Pradesh will be beneficial.
Perks and Pay
Salary is Rs.20,000 - Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience. Benefits include PF, medical reimbursement, and annual performance-based incentives.
