Role Summary
The NTT Mathematics Teacher will lead foundational math sessions for young learners, making numbers approachable through stories, games, and hands-on activities. The role sits within the Nursery to Upper Kindergarten section, shaping early numeracy skills that set the stage for future academic success. What You Will Do
Plan daily math activities that engage 4-6 year olds, using rhymes, puzzles, and visual aids to explain basic numbers and shapes.
Create simple teaching aids from locally available materials to make abstract ideas concrete for young minds.
Observe each child’s progress and note areas needing reinforcement, sharing insights with parents during informal meet-ups.
Collaborate with the NTT team to align lesson plans with the school’s early learning framework.
Assist during school events like math fairs or parent orientation days, demonstrating playful ways to learn numbers.
Use everyday objects from the classroom or neighborhood to teach counting, sorting, and measurement.
Attend monthly subject reviews to adjust methods based on feedback from coordinators and peers.
Support school initiatives like cleanliness drives or local festivals by linking math to real-life routines.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching early learners in a similar setting.
Familiarity with basic classroom tools and the ability to simplify math concepts for 4-6 year olds.
Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in small towns or semi-urban areas.
