You will prepare lesson plans that incorporate storytelling, poetry, and interactive discussions to make learning enjoyable. Daily classroom management ensures a structured yet dynamic atmosphere, where students practice speaking, writing, and listening skills effectively. Additionally, you will conduct weekly grammar and vocabulary drills, ensuring students grasp foundational language concepts through practical exercises.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve assessing student progress through periodic tests, assignments, and projects. You will collaborate with the English department to align curriculum with national education standards while introducing age-appropriate content. Monthly parent-teacher meetings will help address student needs and encourage parental involvement in their academic growth. You will also participate in curriculum reviews and professional development workshops to refine teaching techniques.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing cultural events such as poetry readings, debates, or English festivals to boost student participation. You will update lesson materials and resources based on student feedback and academic trends. Additionally, you will conduct small group tutoring sessions for students requiring extra support in language skills.
To qualify for this TGT English Teacher position at Sunbeam School, a graduate degree in English or a related field is essential. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for teaching positions. Two years of relevant teaching experience in English at the secondary level is preferred. A strong command of English, both written and spoken, along with creativity in lesson design, is highly valued.
