Many of our students have a strong foundation in Hindi, but some may struggle with English, making your role as a teacher all the more rewarding.
What You Will Do
- Teach English language and literature to students in grades 6-12
- Plan and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and implement classroom activities that promote language skills, such as speaking, writing, reading, and listening
- Collaborate with other teachers to ensure consistency in teaching and learning
- Help students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Provide guidance and support to students who need extra help outside of class
- Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as debates, quizzes, and literary clubs
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in English language teaching
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this NTT English Teacher position at St. Xavier International School, you should have a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. degree with a specialization in English and preferably a valid TET/CTET certificate. You should also have at least 2 years of teaching experience and a strong background in English language and literature.
