Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise and supervise daily judo training sessions for students across various age groups. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, maintain equipment, and keep accurate records of attendance, progress and injuries. Coordinate inter‑school competitions, arrange travel, and represent the school at regional judo events. Work closely with the school administration to integrate the sport into the overall co‑curricular schedule.
Program Development
Design a structured curriculum that aligns with national judo standards and the school’s sports objectives. Conduct regular assessments to track skill development and recommend improvements. Liaise with external judo federations and coaches for workshops, certifications and guest training sessions.
Leadership and Administration
Lead a small team of assistant coaches and support staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. Manage the budget for the judo department, including procurement of mats, uniforms and safety gear. Prepare periodic reports for the principal on program outcomes, participation rates and resource needs.
Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field. Minimum of two years of hands‑on experience coaching judo at school or club level. Demonstrated ability to manage a sports program, organise events and handle administrative duties. Certification from a recognised judo governing body is preferred.
Skills and Attributes
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate students and staff. Excellent organisational capability and attention to detail in safety and equipment management. Ability to work collaboratively with school management, parents and external sports bodies.
