Role Summary
Doodhnath Public School invites applications for a Primary Teacher (PRT) specializing in Environmental Studies. This full-time position offers an opportunity to shape young minds in Jhansi through experiential Evs teaching.
What You Will Do
Teach Environmental Studies to classes 1 to 5 with engaging, activity-based lessons aligned to the NCERT curriculum. Lead curriculum development for Evs across the primary section, ensuring continuity from class 1 through 5.
Design and conduct monthly Evs projects that connect classroom learning with local Jhansi surroundings—rivers, forts, and rural ecosystems. Prepare students for inter-school Evs competitions and Olympiads through focused weekend coaching sessions.
Organize field visits to Jhansi’s historical sites and green spaces, integrating local history and ecology into daily lessons. Mentor student clubs like Eco-Warriors and Heritage Champions to promote environmental and cultural awareness.
Collaborate with the PRT team to plan annual Evs exhibitions and science fairs at Doodhnath Public School. Maintain detailed student portfolios tracking progress in Evs skills and environmental attitudes.
Monitor and assess students using rubrics and anecdotal records, providing timely feedback to parents and guardians. Support the school’s zero-waste initiatives by integrating waste management topics into regular Evs teaching.
Who Can Apply
Graduates in Education with B.Ed or D.El.Ed are eligible. Minimum two years of Evs teaching experience in primary schools is required. TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Candidates familiar with Jhansi’s school culture and regional Evs topics will have an advantage. Knowledge of Hindi and English is necessary for effective classroom communication.
Learning and Development
Eligible teachers can progress to Evs Curriculum Coordinator or Head of Department in 3–4 years. Annual increments are linked to performance reviews and professional development participation.
