Billabong High International School | Kanpur seeks an experienced PGT Physics Teacher to lead the physics curriculum and inspire students with hands-on learning. This role demands expertise in theoretical and applied physics, along with a passion for fostering critical thinking among students. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging physics lessons, ensuring alignment with the syllabus and modern pedagogical approaches. Prepare interactive demonstrations and experiments to make abstract concepts tangible for students. Monitor student progress through quizzes, assignments, and real-time feedback sessions. Collaborate with younger teachers to share best practices in physics teaching.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop unit-wise lesson plans that integrate real-world applications of physics, such as renewable energy or space technology, to enhance student interest. Assess students using a mix of objective and subjective tests, ensuring fair evaluation standards. Participate in school-wide academic events, including science fairs and physics competitions, to promote extracurricular engagement. Maintain updated physics lab equipment and resources to support hands-on learning.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct periodic review sessions to address student difficulties in complex topics like quantum mechanics or thermodynamics. Attend departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and share innovative teaching strategies. Ensure compliance with school policies on safety protocols in the physics lab, including equipment handling and emergency procedures.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Physics or a related field. Possess a TET/CTET certificate as a preferred requirement. Minimum 4 years of teaching experience, preferably in a school environment with a focus on physics education. Strong command over the NCERT curriculum and international physics standards is essential.
Salary and Location
