About This Role
St Xavier High School in Tamkuhi Raj, Kushinagar is looking for a Music Teacher to oversee the school’s cultural activities and musical programs. The role involves managing the school band, organizing inter-house music competitions, and ensuring smooth coordination during school events. You will work closely with the school leadership to integrate music into the broader school calendar.
What You Will Do
1. Plan and execute weekly music sessions for students from classes I to XII, aligning with the school’s academic calendar.
2. Prepare students for inter-school music competitions and cultural fests held across Uttar Pradesh.
3. Organize annual school events like Independence Day, Republic Day, and Founder’s Day, including choir and instrumental performances.
4. Maintain the school’s music instruments and ensure their availability during practice and performance sessions.
5. Collaborate with the sports and arts departments to create a balanced co-curricular calendar.
6. Document student progress in music activities and submit reports to the school administration.
7. Assist in the preparation of cultural reports for the school magazine and website.
8. Lead the school band during public performances and community events in Tamkuhi Raj and nearby areas.
Who Can Apply
Graduates with a minimum of one year of experience in music instruction or school event management can apply. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory. Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with audio-visual equipment are required. Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong vocal or instrumental skills in Indian classical, light music, or Western genres.
Ability to train students in group singing, solo performances, and instrumental ensembles.
Experience in conducting music auditions and selecting students for competitions.
Familiarity with music notation software and sound system operation is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
The Music Teacher Position in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh offers a salary between Rs.16,000 and Rs.30,000 per month. The role comes with benefits such as PF, ESI, and paid leave as per school policy. Uniform and local conveyance support may be provided based on performance.
