Who You Will Teach
You will be responsible for teaching Dance to students in grades 1-10. As a PRT Dance Teacher, you will create engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, from beginners to those looking to refine their skills.
Day-to-Day Duties
As a PRT Dance Teacher at St Xavier High School, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Developing and implementing dance lesson plans for grades 1-10
- Conducting dance performances and competitions for students and parents
- Collaborating with other teachers to integrate dance into the curriculum
- Assisting in the planning and organization of school events, such as dance festivals
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for students
- Providing individualized attention to students with special needs
- Participating in staff meetings and professional development workshops
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Performing other duties as assigned by the school administration
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in Dance or a related field
- A valid B.Ed or D.El.Ed certificate
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Dance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching Dance to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Knowledge of Indian classical and contemporary dance styles
- Familiarity with choreographing and staging dance performances
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
