This role involves teaching biology to students in Classes 9 to 12, helping them grasp scientific concepts through hands-on experiments, interactive lessons, and practical applications. Your expertise will shape young minds in understanding life processes, genetics, ecology, and human physiology—key areas that require clear communication and engaging pedagogy.
The job demands a strong foundation in biology, including cell biology, chemistry of life, and human health. You’ll design lesson plans, conduct experiments, and assess student progress while aligning with the CBSE or state board curriculum. To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related science subject along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. While TET/CTET isn’t mandatory, having these certifications will be an asset. Four years of teaching experience in biology or a science subject is preferred, especially in a high school environment.
