Dance Coordinator – King George Inter College, Lucknow
The role involves overseeing the college’s dance program in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The incumbent will manage all aspects of the dance curriculum, student activities, and related events, ensuring a vibrant cultural environment on campus.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize and supervise regular dance workshops, performances and competitions for undergraduate students. Coordinate with external choreographers and cultural bodies to bring diverse dance forms to the college.
Develop and maintain the annual dance calendar, handling logistics such as venue booking, equipment procurement and budgeting within the allocated Rs.15,000 - Rs.30,000 per month salary range.
Monitor student participation, maintain records of attendance and progress, and provide feedback to enhance skill development.
Lead a small team of assistants, delegating tasks, conducting performance reviews and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Ensure compliance with college policies, safety standards and cultural guidelines during all dance activities.
Prepare reports on program outcomes, budget utilization and future needs for the college administration.
Liaise with the student affairs department to integrate dance events with broader college festivals and celebrations.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
At least 2 years of experience coordinating dance programs or cultural activities in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of various Indian and contemporary dance forms, with the ability to guide students and manage performances.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in basic budgeting and event management tools.
