Job Overview

Day-to-Day Duties
1. Manage the school library's collection of books, journals, and other materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to the curriculum.
2. Develop and maintain an effective cataloguing and classification system for the library's collection.
3. Supervise the circulation desk and assist students and staff with research and borrowing of materials.
4. Plan and implement library programs and activities to promote reading and literacy.
5. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
6. Develop and maintain a library budget and manage expenses.
7. Ensure the library is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a LIBRARIAN in a school setting. A graduate degree in any field is required, with a B.Ed/D.El.Ed preferred but not mandatory. Computer proficiency is essential, and knowledge of library software and online resources is an added advantage.
