LIBRARIAN Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Vacancy — Immediate requirement.
Role Summary
As a key member of the Seth M.r.jaipuria School administration, the LIBRARIAN will lead the school library team to create a vibrant learning environment that promotes academic excellence and fosters a love for reading among students. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, overseeing library operations, and supporting teachers and students in their research and learning endeavors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement library policies and procedures to ensure effective management of library resources.
2. Collect, organize, and maintain a diverse collection of books, journals, and digital resources to support the academic needs of students and teachers.
3. Provide research assistance and bibliographic instruction to students and teachers.
4. Manage library budgets, resources, and personnel.
5. Collaborate with teachers to develop curriculum-based programs and activities.
6. Design and implement library exhibits, displays, and other programs to promote literacy and a love for reading.
7. Develop and maintain the school's online library catalog and digital repository.
8. Ensure compliance with copyright laws and library standards.
Who Can Apply
A postgraduate degree in Library Science or related field is essential for this role. At least 5 years of experience in a school library setting is required. Familiarity with library software and digital resources is necessary.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with library management software and digital resources.
- Strong knowledge of library standards, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other staff members.
