About This Role
Delhi Public School | Shaheed Path invites an experienced and visionary educator to take on the challenging role of PGT Biology, spearheading the Biology department at our esteemed institution. As a senior member of the faculty, you will be responsible for shaping the academic journey of students and leading the department to excellence.
Day-to-Day Duties
As a PGT Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing an engaging Biology curriculum that caters to diverse learning styles
- Teaching Biology to students of various classes and boards, including ICSE and CBSE
- Preparing and administering board exams, ensuring high scores and academic excellence
- Mentoring junior staff members and guiding them in their academic endeavors
- Conducting departmental meetings and coordinating with colleagues to achieve common goals
- Analyzing and improving board results, identifying areas of improvement and implementing strategies to enhance academic performance
- Developing and maintaining a robust library of Biology resources, including textbooks, journals, and online materials
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure a holistic and integrated learning experience for students
- Participating in staff development programs and workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest trends in Biology education
- Providing guidance and support to students, parents, and colleagues as needed
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you should possess:
- A postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field
- A Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school
- NET or SET certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Biology curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Salary and Benefits
