About This Role
Seth M.r.jaipuria School is inviting experienced English educators to lead the senior English department as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). This role offers the chance to shape the academic trajectory of students in Grades 9 to 12 while contributing to board result excellence. The position is designed for a seasoned English Teacher who can drive curriculum innovation and mentor junior staff.
What You Will Do
Oversee the English curriculum from Grades 9 to 12, ensuring alignment with CBSE standards and board expectations. Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that enhance students’ critical reading, writing, and analytical skills. Conduct weekly departmental meetings to review student progress and set performance benchmarks.
Prepare students for board examinations with targeted revision strategies and mock tests. Identify students requiring additional support and coordinate remedial sessions. Organize inter-house English competitions, elocution events, and literary fests to foster engagement.
Collaborate with the Vice Principal to review academic policies and introduce new pedagogical tools. Mentor newly joined English Teachers through classroom observations and feedback sessions. Represent the department in parent-teacher interactions to address academic concerns.
Eligibility Criteria
A postgraduate degree in English is required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Minimum five years of teaching experience in Grades 9 to 12 is necessary. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory.
Learning and Development
The school encourages professional growth through participation in Uttar Pradesh state-level English pedagogy workshops. Opportunities exist to attend national seminars and present research on English language teaching. High performers may be considered for leadership roles such as Vice Principal or Head of Department in future.
