Job Title
PGT History Teacher – Full‑time position at Birla Open Minds International School, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Responsibilities
The teacher will plan and deliver engaging History lessons for senior secondary classes, aligning with CBSE/ICSE curriculum standards. Conduct class discussions, project work and assessments to develop students’ analytical skills and historical perspective. Participate in school events, parent‑teacher meetings and co‑curricular activities that promote cultural awareness.
Key duties include preparing lesson plans, creating visual aids, evaluating student performance, maintaining records and collaborating with department heads to enhance the History teaching program. The role also involves mentoring junior faculty and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the school.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in History or related discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the PGT level. TET/CTET qualification is preferred. Candidates must possess strong communication skills in English and Hindi and be comfortable using digital teaching tools.
Experience
At least 2 years of proven experience teaching History to classes 11 and 12 in a school setting. Experience with interactive teaching methods and exam preparation is essential.
Salary
Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
Location
The position is based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, at the Birla Open Minds International School campus.
