St Gabriel Convent School | Lucknow seeks an experienced PGT History Teacher to join their esteemed faculty. The role demands a passionate educator skilled in delivering engaging history lessons aligned with the latest curriculum standards while fostering critical thinking among students.
The PGT History Teacher at St Gabriel Convent School | Lucknow will be responsible for:
Designing and implementing innovative lesson plans that integrate historical events, cultural studies, and regional significance relevant to Uttar Pradesh’s heritage.
Teaching History from Class 9 to 12 with a focus on India’s ancient, medieval, and modern periods, ensuring deep conceptual understanding.
Engaging students through interactive projects, field trips, and debates, particularly around key historical themes like the Mughal Empire, freedom struggle, and regional history.
Assessing student progress using continuous evaluation methods, including written tests, oral presentations, and practical assignments.
Maintaining a high standard of academic excellence while adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
Collaborating with the History department to develop interdisciplinary connections, such as linking history with geography or social sciences.
Participating in school events like cultural fests, history exhibitions, and parent-teacher meetings to promote historical awareness.
Ensuring classroom management that promotes respect, discipline, and a positive learning environment.
Actively contributing to curriculum development by suggesting updates based on evolving educational trends and student feedback.
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Four years of relevant teaching experience in History, preferably in a school setting, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be highly beneficial. The PGT History Teacher will be offered a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000 per month, along with the opportunity to work in one of Lucknow’s premier educational institutions. This role is full-time and based in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
