Iris Crown School in Lucknow invites applications for a PGT Zoology Teacher. The role focuses on delivering engaging zoology lessons to secondary students and supporting curriculum development.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver comprehensive zoology lessons for classes XI and XII, aligning with the state board syllabus and national educational standards. Plan laboratory experiments, field trips, and wildlife observation activities to enhance practical understanding. Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and project work, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records. Mentor and guide junior teachers on zoology concepts and teaching methodologies. Coordinate with the science department to integrate interdisciplinary projects, such as ecology and environmental science, into the curriculum. Participate in school science fairs, competitions, and community outreach programs to promote zoological knowledge. Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure safety protocols, and manage the budget for scientific supplies. Engage parents and school administration in discussing student progress and educational strategies. Contribute to the development of the school’s annual science curriculum and teaching resources. Attend professional development workshops and stay updated on contemporary zoological research and teaching practices.
Qualification and experience
Post graduate degree in Zoology or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory; TET/CTET preferred. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the secondary level. Strong communication skills and a passion for inspiring students about wildlife and biodiversity. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and support school’s academic goals.
Salary and location
Rs.35,000 - Rs.65,000 per month. Full‑time position based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh at Iris Crown School.
