Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Assess student performance through quizzes, projects, and exams to track progress in zoology. Collaborate with the biology department to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate zoology with other subjects like environmental science. Attend faculty meetings and curriculum reviews to stay updated on educational trends and teaching methodologies. Guide students in preparing for competitive exams like NEET, ensuring they grasp advanced biological concepts effectively.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organize departmental workshops to improve teaching techniques and share innovative teaching strategies with colleagues. Participate in school events such as science fairs, competitions, and guest lectures to promote interest in zoology. Review and update teaching resources, including textbooks and lab equipment, to ensure they meet the latest educational standards.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology or a related field with at least four years of teaching experience. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree as mandatory qualifications for school teaching. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching at the senior secondary level is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and a passion for nurturing young scientists are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month.
