Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Art And Craft lessons for classes I to V, using locally sourced materials and traditional Indian crafts. Prepare lesson plans that align with the state curriculum and incorporate cultural festivals celebrated in Uttar Pradesh. Assess student work, maintain portfolios, and provide constructive feedback to nurture creativity. Organise exhibitions and craft fairs within the school to showcase student talent and involve parents.
Classroom Management
Create a safe, tidy workspace where children can explore drawing, painting, clay modeling and simple textile projects. Monitor usage of supplies, ensure hygiene, and guide students in proper handling of tools. Foster teamwork through group projects that reflect regional art forms.
Curriculum Development
Collaborate with senior teachers to integrate art concepts across subjects such as Social Studies and Language. Introduce innovative techniques while respecting the basic foundations taught in the school’s existing Art And Craft syllabus.
Community Engagement
Participate in school events, cultural programmes and local art competitions, representing Raj Estate Public School. Encourage students to draw inspiration from Lucknow’s heritage sites like the Bara Imambara and local handicrafts.
Qualifications
Graduate with B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Art Education; TET/CTET qualification is preferred. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a primary school setting. Demonstrated ability to work with children aged 5‑10 and to manage classroom resources efficiently.
Experience
At least 2 years of hands‑on experience conducting Art And Craft classes in a school environment. Prior involvement in organising student exhibitions or craft fairs will be an advantage.
Salary
Rs.16,000 - Rs.25,000 per month, payable as per school norms.
