Job Description
PRT Social Science Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
This role is about teaching Social Science to classes from 6th to 8th at Mount Litera Zee School, where you’ll plan lessons based on the CBSE curriculum while adapting them to engage students with topics like history, geography, and civics. Daily classes will include interactive discussions, map work, and simple experiments—think of it as guiding young minds through the stories of India’s past and how they shape the world today. You’ll also handle classroom management, ensuring students stay focused while exploring real-world connections through local history or regional cultures.
You’ll conduct daily classes, prepare lesson plans, and assess student understanding through quizzes and projects. Weekly, you’ll review student performance, adjust teaching methods, and prepare reports for parents. During term breaks, you may assist with extracurricular activities like school events or cultural fairs, keeping teaching relevant beyond the classroom. You’ll also help organize field trips to historical sites or museums to bring Social Science to life for students.
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory, with a graduate degree in Social Science or related field. Two years of teaching experience is preferred, though not strictly required if you’ve gained practical experience in Social Science education. TET/CTET certification is helpful but not mandatory for this position.
To succeed, you need strong communication skills to explain complex topics simply, especially for students who may struggle with abstract concepts. Patience and creativity are key—you’ll adapt lessons to keep students interested while meeting academic standards. A passion for history, geography, and civic education will help you connect with students and inspire them to explore these subjects further.
You’ll earn a competitive salary of Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, along with standard benefits like transport allowance and a monthly stipend for supplies. The role offers stability and the chance to shape young minds in Lucknow’s vibrant educational environment.
To apply, send your resume, degree certificates, and experience details to the school’s HR department. No formal interview is required—just demonstrate your teaching ability through sample lesson plans or references from past employers.
