Psychological Counsellor Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Vacancy
Role Summary
The Psychological Counsellor plays a vital role in supporting student well-being and fostering a positive learning environment at Seth M.r.jaipuria School. Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students with emotional, behavioural, or academic concerns.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to identify students needing psychological support and design intervention plans.
Organize workshops on stress management, career guidance, and mental health awareness for students and staff.
Maintain confidential records of student interactions and progress for administrative and reporting purposes.
Work closely with the school leadership to integrate counselling services into the broader student support framework.
Provide crisis intervention and referral services for students facing acute psychological distress.
Coordinate with external psychologists or psychiatrists when specialized intervention is required.
Prepare annual reports on student well-being trends and recommend policy improvements to the management.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Psychology or Counselling with a specialization in child or educational psychology.
Minimum 5 years of experience in psychological counselling within school or educational settings.
Registration or certification with a recognized professional body such as the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is preferred.
Familiarity with child development, learning disabilities, and adolescent behavioural issues.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership and team coordination skills to work with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build trust with students and stakeholders.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly and empathetically.
