Sports Hod Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Vacancy
Role Summary
Skd Academy is looking for a Sports Hod to lead the physical education department. The role involves planning, organizing, and supervising sports activities for students from classes 1 to 12. The Sports Hod will ensure smooth conduct of inter-house and inter-school sports events, maintaining discipline and promoting a healthy competitive spirit among students.
Key Responsibilities
Develop annual and monthly sports calendars aligned with Skd Academy’s academic schedule.
Oversee daily sports sessions, ensuring proper use of facilities and equipment at the school’s outdoor and indoor courts.
Coordinate with external coaches and trainers for specialized coaching in cricket, football, basketball, and athletics.
Manage a team of sports instructors and support staff, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
Organize inter-house tournaments and ensure participation from all classes and sections.
Maintain records of student achievements, attendance, and equipment inventory.
Liaise with school administration to procure sports materials and upgrade infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with safety norms during all sports activities and drills.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have: Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years of experience in sports administration or coaching in a school environment. B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialization in physical education preferred.
Good to Have: Experience working in a Lucknow-based school or familiarity with local sports culture. Prior involvement in organizing district or state-level school sports events.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills to guide a group of sports instructors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with students, parents, and external stakeholders.
Organizational skills to plan and execute multiple sports events simultaneously.
Problem-solving approach to handle on-field emergencies or equipment issues.
Salary and Benefits
The Sports Hod will receive a monthly salary in the range of Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000. Benefits include PF contributions, paid leave, and access to school sports facilities for personal use during non-working hours.
