Design and implement a progressive TGT Chemistry curriculum aligned with CBSE standards for Grades 9 and 10. Lead monthly department meetings to review student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Oversee the creation of low-cost, high-impact Chemistry lab experiments using locally available materials.
Coordinate with City Montessori School’s senior leadership on resource allocation for the Chemistry lab and classroom technology. Mentor two to three junior Chemistry teachers through classroom observations and feedback sessions. Represent the department in inter-school academic forums and science exhibitions.
Develop quarterly assessment blueprints that reflect real classroom challenges faced by TGT Chemistry teachers in Uttar Pradesh. Liaise with CBSE coordinators during inspection visits to showcase department strengths. Introduce inquiry-based learning modules to improve student engagement in Chemistry.
What you bring
Post-graduate degree in Chemistry with B.Ed from a recognized Indian university is essential. Minimum three years of TGT Chemistry teaching experience in a school environment is required. Candidates with UGC-NET or Ph.D in Chemistry will receive preference during selection.
Leadership experience as a subject coordinator or deputy HOD is highly desirable. Familiarity with CBSE Chemistry syllabus and assessment patterns is necessary. Experience conducting TET/CTET preparation sessions for students is a plus.
