About This Role
Skd Academy is looking for a TGT Chemistry Teacher to join our full-time faculty in Lucknow. The role is designed for post-graduates with two years of teaching experience who can deliver clear, engaging lessons in Chemistry for Grades 9–10. The teacher will follow the CBSE curriculum and maintain classroom records as per school policy.
Your Students (diverse learning levels, inclusive classroom in Lucknow)
Students at Skd Academy come from varied socio-economic backgrounds across Lucknow. Some need extra support with Hindi or English as the medium of instruction, so patience and differentiated strategies are essential. The Chemistry classroom must welcome students with different paces of learning, including those who find chemical bonding or stoichiometry challenging.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver weekly Chemistry lessons aligned with CBSE standards for Grades 9–10. Prepare teaching aids such as models, charts, and digital simulations to explain atomic structure, periodic trends, and organic reactions. Conduct regular practical sessions in the school lab and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
Prepare differentiated worksheets and short quizzes so students at different levels can grasp mole concepts, pH calculations, and redox reactions. Provide remedial sessions during zero period or after school for learners who lag behind in periodic tests.
Maintain accurate attendance registers, lesson plans, and assessment records on the school ERP. Submit mid-term and final progress reports on time with specific feedback on Chemistry performance.
Organize monthly Science exhibitions or quiz competitions where Chemistry students can showcase their understanding. Collaborate with the lab assistant to stock chemicals and maintain equipment registers.
Eligibility Criteria
Post-graduate degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree in Science from an NCTE-recognized institution. Two years of full-time Chemistry teaching experience in Grades 9–10 is mandatory.
Preferred Skills (inclusive pedagogy, patience, communication)
Experience using inclusive teaching methods for students with learning difficulties or slow learners. Strong Hindi and English communication skills to explain complex topics like chemical equilibrium and electrochemistry clearly.
Familiarity with CBSE sample papers, marking schemes, and recent curriculum updates in Chemistry. Ability to work in a team with other Science teachers and the academic coordinator.
