TGT Music Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
About This Role
Skd Academy is expanding its Music department and invites an experienced TGT Music Teacher to lead the subject at senior level. This is a full-time position for a candidate with proven classroom leadership in Music and potential to guide the department forward. The role combines hands-on teaching with departmental mentoring in a Lucknow-based school setting.
What You Will Do
Develop and deliver the TGT Music curriculum for classes VI to VIII with measurable outcomes in student performances and board results. Design annual and monthly lesson plans aligned to CBSE guidelines and local cultural events in Lucknow. Organize school choir, orchestra, and annual cultural day to showcase student talent across Uttar Pradesh.
Assess and mentor junior Music staff, conducting regular feedback sessions and demonstrating best practices in vocal and instrumental instruction. Maintain student portfolios, progress charts, and performance records for internal audits and parent meetings. Collaborate with art and dance teachers to create cross-disciplinary cultural programs.
Prepare students for inter-school competitions in Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, and nearby districts, ensuring consistent representation and positive outcomes. Integrate digital tools for music notation and recording to keep pace with evolving classroom needs. Represent the school at regional music workshops and parent-teacher forums.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Music with a minimum of five years’ experience teaching Music at secondary level in Uttar Pradesh schools. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET or CTET preferred for state board alignment. Prior leadership as Music Coordinator or Head of Department is advantageous.
