About This Role
We're seeking an experienced PRT Evs Teacher to join our team at Sacred Heart Sr. Sec. School. As a PRT Evs Teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them develop a strong understanding of the environment and its interconnectedness.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging Evs lessons to students in grades 6-12
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles
- Encourage students to participate in environmental activities and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Evs with other subjects
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress
- Develop and maintain a well-organized classroom environment
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions
- Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you'll need to possess:
- A graduate degree in Science or Environmental Studies
- A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- TET or CTET certification (although not mandatory, it's preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching Evs to students in grades 6-12
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
