PRT Social Science Teacher Job in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
About This Role
This is a senior Social Science teaching position at Dps Aunchha in Ghiror, Mainpuri. The role carries departmental ownership with a pathway to headship. You will shape how Social Science is taught across grades while mentoring junior PRTs. Expect a balance of classroom delivery, assessment design, and team leadership in a growing school environment.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver Social Science lessons for Classes 1 to 5 with an emphasis on interactive, inquiry-based methods. Design term-wise lesson plans aligned to CBSE guidelines and local context. Set and mark regular assessments to track progress in history, geography, civics, and economics strands.
Curate age-appropriate resources using maps, timelines, and local case studies from Mainpuri and nearby villages. Organize quarterly Social Science exhibitions where students present projects on Uttar Pradesh’s heritage and current affairs. Lead after-school Social Science clubs focused on current events and local history walks.
Train PRT colleagues in effective Social Science pedagogy and classroom management techniques. Conduct demo lessons and peer observations twice a term. Review student work samples to refine teaching strategies.
Monitor board-aligned Social Science results and implement interventions for underperforming students. Prepare term-wise academic reports for parents with clear next-step targets. Liaise with parents during PTMs to explain Social Science learning goals.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate in Social Science or related field with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized university. Minimum five years of teaching experience in Social Science at primary level in a CBSE-affiliated school. CTET qualified preferred; TET qualified candidates will receive preference.
Familiarity with local geography and cultural context of Mainpuri and Uttar Pradesh is advantageous. Experience in designing Social Science projects for young learners is desirable.
Learning and Development
Participate in monthly leadership forums with Dps Aunchha’s senior team. Attend Uttar Pradesh state-level Social Science workshops and curriculum update sessions. Shadow the Head of Department to understand departmental budgeting and resource allocation.
Undertake a short-term action research project on improving Social Science outcomes in rural classrooms. Present findings to the academic council for wider implementation. Receive mentorship from the Vice Principal on school-wide initiatives.
Perks and Pay
Monthly salary range is Rs.12,000 to Rs.20,000 based on qualifications and experience. Full-time position with paid leave as per school calendar. Access to in-house professional development programs and resource library.
