About This Role
Hindustan College Of Science & Technology seeks exceptional candidates for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in Thermodynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Thermodynamics, as well as guiding research projects and promoting academic excellence at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Thermodynamics, including thermodynamic properties, laws of thermodynamics, and applications of thermodynamics.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Guide and mentor students in research projects, including project planning, experimentation, and data analysis.
- Conduct research in Thermodynamics and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of collaborations with industry and academia.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology.
- Supervise and evaluate undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and attending meetings.
Master Level Teaching
- Teach master level courses in Thermodynamics, including advanced thermodynamic properties, statistical mechanics, and thermodynamic simulation.
- Guide and mentor students in research projects, including project planning, experimentation, and data analysis.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must have a PhD in Thermodynamics or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks.
- The candidate must have qualified the NET/SLET exam in the relevant subject.
- The candidate must have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level.
Learning and Development
- The candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching and research in Thermodynamics.
- The candidate must have a good understanding of UGC regulations and state government rules.
- The candidate must have a strong network of collaborations with industry and academia.
- The candidate must have a good API score to be eligible for promotion and career advancement at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology.
Salary and Benefits
- The salary for this position is Rs.45,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, as per UGC norms.
- The candidate will be entitled to allowances as per UGC regulations, including medical allowance, transport allowance, and other benefits.
