ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Genetic Engineering in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh | University Recruitment — Applications invited as per UGC norms.
About This Role
Hindustan College Of Science & Technology, a premier institution in Uttar Pradesh, invites applications for the post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the Department of Genetic Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the faculty of Science and Engineering. They will be expected to contribute to the academic growth of the students and the department.
Key Responsibilities
1. To teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Genetic Engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
2. To develop and deliver course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment strategies.
3. To assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance.
4. To contribute to the development of the department's research agenda and academic programs.
5. To supervise and guide students in their research projects and dissertation.
6. To participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
7. To maintain accurate records and reports on student progress, teaching, and research.
8. To contribute to the development of the department's online presence and social media platforms.
Postgraduate Students
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding master's level courses and research projects in Genetic Engineering. They will be expected to provide guidance and supervision to students on their research projects, including the development of research proposals, data collection and analysis, and the preparation of research papers. They will also be responsible for teaching postgraduate courses in Genetic Engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, the candidate must possess a PhD in Genetic Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks. They must also have cleared the NET/SLET examination or have published research papers in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized university or college.
Career Opportunities
The successful candidate will have opportunities for career advancement within Hindustan College Of Science & Technology. To be eligible for promotion to the post of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, the candidate must have a minimum of 6 publications in peer-reviewed journals and an API score of 4.5. To be eligible for promotion to the post of PROFESSOR, the candidate must have a minimum of 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals and an API score of 6.0.
Perks and Pay
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.45,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, along with other allowances as per UGC norms. The candidate will also be entitled to benefits such as medical insurance, pension, and leave travel concessions. The candidate will be required to reside in the campus accommodation provided by the institution.
