Engage in consultancy assignments for local industries and PSUs, especially those based in Mathura and Agra, to provide language audits and communication training. Supervise student projects and internships with corporate partners in the NCR region. Organize workshops on soft skills for final-year engineering and MBA students.
Serve on university committees related to academic quality, NAAC documentation, and AICTE compliance. Mentor junior faculty and student clubs such as the Debating Society and Toastmasters chapter. Contribute to institutional social responsibility initiatives through language literacy programs in nearby villages.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in English with specialization in Professional English, Applied Linguistics, or Technical Communication is mandatory. Post-doctoral research or industry experience in corporate communication is highly desirable. Candidates with a Ph.D. from a UGC-recognized university and at least three years of full-time teaching or research experience will be preferred.
Candidates without a Ph.D. but holding a Master’s degree in English with UGC-NET/JRF or CSIR-NET qualification may apply, subject to submission of Ph.D. within three years of joining, in line with UGC norms. Hindustan College Of Science & Technology supports faculty in obtaining necessary clearances for Ph.D. registration and external supervision.
