This ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Automobile Engineering Position in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh offers a full-time role for candidates with a PhD and three years of experience. The role is designed to strengthen our automobile engineering department and support both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Day-to-Day Duties
Teach core and elective courses in automobile engineering to undergraduate students at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology. Prepare detailed lesson plans, lecture notes, and laboratory instructions for subjects like vehicle dynamics, automotive electronics, and engine design. Conduct regular theory classes, practical sessions, and tutorials as per the university academic calendar.
Evaluate student performance through assignments, mid-semester tests, end-semester examinations, and project reviews. Provide constructive feedback on lab reports, seminar presentations, and minor and major project work submitted by students. Guide students during industrial visits and internship programs organized by the department.
Engage in departmental meetings, curriculum development workshops, and accreditation-related activities for NBA or NAAC processes. Supervise student clubs such as SAE India Collegiate Club and organize technical events like auto expos and hackathons.
Master Level Teaching
Design and deliver master level courses in specialized areas such as hybrid vehicle technology, automotive safety systems, and IC engine optimization. Mentor postgraduate students in their dissertation work, guiding them from topic selection to final thesis submission. Encourage research publication and participation in national conferences like those organized by SAE India.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automobile Engineering from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. NET/SLET qualified candidates with three years of teaching experience may also apply if PhD is not completed, as per UGC norms for Assistant Professor eligibility.
Minimum three years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Vacancy in Uttar Pradesh or similar university setting. Evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings related to automobile engineering is mandatory for this position.
