Hindustan College Of Science & Technology invites applications for the position of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Cloud Computing to strengthen its growing research and academic profile in Uttar Pradesh. Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Cloud Computing, including cloud architecture, service models, and deployment strategies. Engage with final-year projects and dissertation supervision to ensure practical learning outcomes aligned with industry needs. Contribute to curriculum development by introducing emerging topics such as serverless computing, multi-cloud management, and AI-driven cloud optimization.
Lead and participate in funded research projects under the aegis of Hindustan College Of Science & Technology’s research centers. Publish original research in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, focusing on cloud performance, scalability, and energy efficiency. Collaborate with faculty across engineering and IT departments to develop interdisciplinary project proposals for external funding agencies.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with a specialization in Cloud Computing. A minimum of 3 years of teaching or research experience at the university level is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral research experience or industry collaborations in cloud technologies. UGC-NET with JRF qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Academic Projects
Oversee collaborative academic projects with leading cloud service providers and startups in the NCR region. Explore funding opportunities through DST, MeitY, and AICTE schemes to support research in cloud-native applications and cybersecurity. Encourage student participation in hackathons and cloud innovation challenges sponsored by AWS Academy and Microsoft Learn.
Ph.D. Supervision
Guide doctoral students in their research on cloud resource management, container orchestration, or data privacy in cloud environments. Serve as a member of Ph.D. review committees and participate in thesis evaluations at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology. Foster a research culture by organizing weekly seminars and inviting national experts in cloud computing.
Salary and Benefits
The position offers a consolidated monthly salary between Rs.45,000 and Rs.60,000 as per UGC norms for Associate Professors. Additional research grants and conference travel support are available based on project performance and publication output. Faculty members receive access to cloud computing platforms, software licenses, and library resources to support their academic work.
