Role Summary

You will be expected to contribute to the development of the Department's research program and academic offerings.
What You Will Do
As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the Department of Computer Science, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching Database Management System courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, including the development of course materials and delivery of lectures.
- Conducting research in Database Management System, including the supervision of Ph.D. and M.Tech students.
- Publishing research papers in reputable international journals and conferences.
- Collaborating with other faculty members on research projects and academic programs.
- Serving on departmental and university committees as required.
- Participating in academic administration, including curriculum development and departmental events.
- Providing academic guidance to students, including advising on research projects and thesis evaluation.
- Participating in the development of the Department's research program, including the identification of research funding opportunities.
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Database Management System. A postdoctoral research experience is preferred. You should also have a strong record of research publications and a demonstrated ability to secure research funding. UGC-NET with JRF qualification is mandatory for Assistant Professor. UGC norms apply for University recruitment.

As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the Department of Computer Science, you will be expected to maintain a strong research program, including the publication of research papers in reputable international journals and conferences. You will also be expected to collaborate with other faculty members on research projects and academic programs. Our university provides opportunities for research collaborations with national and international institutions, including funding support for research projects.
Doctoral Guidance
As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, you will be expected to guide doctoral students in their research work, including the evaluation of their thesis. You will also be expected to serve on thesis evaluation committees, as required.
Salary and Benefits
The remuneration for this position will be in the range of Rs.45,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, as per UGC norms, along with research grants and other benefits as per university rules. The appointment will be made on a full-time basis, with a minimum period of three years.
