What You Will Do
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical Machines with a focus on theory, design, and applications. Conduct laboratory sessions and guide students in practical experiments related to electrical machine design, testing, and performance analysis. Develop and update course curricula as per AICTE and UGC standards.
Prepare and deliver lectures on topics such as transformers, induction motors, synchronous machines, and special electrical machines. Assess student performance through assignments, mid-semester and end-semester examinations. Mentor students in project work, seminars, and technical presentations.
Supervise final-year projects and dissertation work at the master’s level. Encourage innovation and research culture among students in the domain of electrical machines and drives. Collaborate with industry for guest lectures, workshops, and live projects.
Master Level Teaching
At the master’s level, teach advanced courses such as Advanced Electrical Machines, Power Electronics for Machine Control, and Condition Monitoring of Electrical Machines. Guide M.Tech students in their research work, including literature review, methodology, and thesis writing.
Organize technical seminars and symposia on emerging trends in electrical machine technology. Promote interdisciplinary research projects involving power electronics, control systems, and renewable energy integration.
Who Can Apply
PhD in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Electrical Machines with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. NET/SLET qualified candidates with PhD in progress may apply, subject to completion within the probation period.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in a recognized university or institution. Must have published at least 5 research papers in peer-reviewed journals with a focus on electrical machines, power systems, or related areas.
