What You Will Do
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Optics, including lectures, tutorials, and practical classes.
- Develop and deliver innovative curricula and pedagogies that address the needs of students in Optics.
- Guide and supervise students in research projects, dissertation, and thesis work.
- Conduct research in Optics and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities, including committee work.
- Mentor and guide junior faculty members.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary research and teaching.
- Participate in curriculum development and review.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Master Level Teaching
As an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, you will be responsible for teaching master level courses in Optics, including topics like optical design, laser physics, and optical communication systems. You will also guide students in project work, helping them to develop practical skills and apply theoretical knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Optics or a related field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks. NET/SLET qualification is mandatory for Assistant Professor, but if you have a Ph.D., you can apply directly for ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is also a requirement.
