What You Will Do
As an Associate Professor in Power Electronics, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Power Electronics, including circuit analysis, power electronics devices, and control systems.
- Conducting research in Power Electronics, with a focus on advanced topics such as power electronics converters, motor drives, and power quality.
- Publishing research papers in top-tier journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.
- Supervising Ph.D. students in Power Electronics, guiding them through their research projects and thesis evaluation.
- Collaborating with colleagues on research projects, including industry-funded projects and collaborative research initiatives.
- Participating in curriculum development and accreditation processes for the Electrical Engineering program.
- Providing academic guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students, including mentoring and advising.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Power Electronics or a related field is mandatory for this position. A postdoctoral research experience is preferred. Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. but do not have UGC-NET with JRF may also apply. However, such candidates must clear the UGC-NET with JRF within two years of joining the institution to be eligible for promotion.
