Role Summary
The PGT Yoga Teacher will design and deliver progressive yoga sessions for classes IX to XII, aligning with the school’s holistic development goals. Experience in a school setting and familiarity with CBSE wellness frameworks is preferred.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan structured yoga lessons that progress from basic asanas to advanced pranayama over the academic year.
Conduct daily morning sessions for senior students, ensuring inclusivity for different flexibility levels.
Monitor students’ posture and breathing patterns, providing gentle corrective guidance during practice.
Organize inter-house yoga competitions and prepare teams for district-level events.
Coordinate with the sports department to schedule yoga during sports weeks and health drives.
Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records in the school ERP system.
Attend weekly wellness meetings with the counselor and subject heads to discuss student progress.
Contribute to the annual school magazine with articles on yoga philosophy and student success stories.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Yoga from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Minimum three years of teaching yoga in a school environment.
CTET or state TET certificate preferred, though not mandatory.
