Key Responsibilities
As a PROFESSOR - Algorithms, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity theory.
- Conducting research in algorithms and publishing papers in top-tier journals and conferences.
- Supervising Ph.D. students and guiding them in their research projects.
- Collaborating with faculty members from other departments on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Participating in the development of new courses and programs in algorithms and related areas.
- Serving on departmental and university committees.
- Engaging in academic and professional development activities.
- Participating in the accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Representing the department and university in academic and professional forums.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. A post-doc experience is preferred. You should also have a strong research background in algorithms, with a proven track record of publications in top-tier journals and conferences. UGC-NET with JRF is mandatory for Assistant Professor positions, but not required for this post.
Academic Projects
As a PROFESSOR - Algorithms, you will have opportunities to work on collaborative projects with faculty members from other departments and industries. We also provide funding opportunities for research projects and publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
Ph.D. Supervision
As a member of the faculty, you will be expected to guide doctoral students in their research projects and evaluate their theses. You will also be responsible for mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects and academic pursuits.
What You Get
As a PROFESSOR - Algorithms at Hindustan College Of Science & Technology, you will receive a salary of Rs.60,000 - Rs.90,000 per month, as per UGC norms. You will also be eligible for research grants and other benefits as per university regulations. You will have opportunities to work on collaborative projects, engage in academic and professional development activities, and participate in the accreditation and quality assurance processes. You will also be expected to represent the department and university in academic and professional forums.
