What You Will Do

Secure external funding through proposals to agencies such as SERB, DRDO, or DST to support student projects and lab upgrades. Collaborate with departments of computer science, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering to develop joint research initiatives.
Guide doctoral students in their thesis work, ensuring timely progress and alignment with industry-relevant problems. Serve on doctoral committees and participate in thesis evaluations across the university. Contribute to curriculum design by introducing new electives like swarm robotics, robotic vision, and human-robot interaction.
Eligibility Criteria
A Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics and Communication, or a closely related field is mandatory. Post-doctoral research or industry experience in robotics applications will be given preference. Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET or CSIR-NET with JRF, or hold an equivalent qualification recognized by UGC norms.
A minimum of five years of teaching experience at the university level, with at least two years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent, is required. Demonstrated ability to lead funded projects and supervise Ph.D. scholars is essential. Familiarity with robotic simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, ROS, and CAD platforms will be advantageous.

Ongoing initiatives include robotic sorting systems for food processing units and autonomous navigation for warehouses. Ph.D. Supervision
