Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research in Statistics, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and present research findings at conferences.
- Guide students in their research projects, providing mentorship and supervision.
- Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and maintain academic records.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, academia, and other stakeholders to enhance the academic program.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional activities, such as curriculum development, teaching, and research.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities, including committee work and student advising.
- Foster a learning environment that promotes inclusivity, diversity, and academic excellence.
PG Class Profile
The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching master level courses in Statistics, such as Time Series Analysis, Probability Theory, and Statistical Inference. The candidate will also guide students in their project work, providing guidance and supervision to ensure the successful completion of their projects. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a research profile, publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research findings at conferences.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Ph.D. in Statistics with a minimum of 55% marks. In addition, candidates must have a good academic record, with a strong background in research and publication. The candidate must also have a good understanding of the UGC norms and state government rules, with the ability to apply them in practice.
